Velo is operated by Y Next Ride (www.ynextride.com). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Velo app or website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number and password.
- Booking details: pickup and drop-off addresses, journey times, chosen vehicle class and ride extras.
- Location: precise device location while you are booking or on a trip, so we can show the map, match a nearby driver and track the journey. Drivers share location while they are online.
- Payment details: processed by Stripe. We store only a payment reference and the amount, never full card numbers.
- Driver documents: licence details and bank verification information handled by Stripe for payouts.
- Technical data: device model, app version, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
How we use it
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To book, price, dispatch and track rides, and to notify you at each stage of the trip.
- To take payment, issue receipts and pay drivers.
- To keep riders and drivers safe, prevent fraud and investigate incidents.
- To fix crashes and improve the service.
Sharing
We share only what is needed to complete your ride: your first name, pickup and drop-off points and live location with the assigned driver; payment data with Stripe; app infrastructure data with our hosting and database providers; and map and routing requests with Google Maps. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
Location permission
Location is used only while the app is in use or a driver is online, to show the map, estimate arrival and track an active trip. You can turn location off in your device settings at any time, though ride booking and driver features will not work without it.
Keeping your data
Account and trip records are kept while your account is open and for up to six years afterwards where we must keep financial records. Crash logs are kept for 12 months. Data is stored on encrypted servers with access limited to authorised staff.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and personal data by emailing contact@elevatecodedigital.com. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days, except records we must keep by law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Children
Velo is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
